چکیده

Arterioureteral fistula (AUF) is a rare condition that may lead to lethal hematuria if not treated promptly. A 65-year-old female presented at our emergency department with massive hematuria and associated hypotension. She had a history of cervical cancer treated with radical hysterectomy followed by adjuvant chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Although computed tomography scan findings and renal angiography showed no signs of active bleeding, the symptom of hematuria aggravated. Even after prophylactic embolization of both renal arteries, hematuria persisted. On cystoscopy, there was a jet flow of bleeding from the right orifice of the ureter. AUF was highly suspected and subsequent intra-operative angiography was performed. Fistulous connections were observed and managed with endovascular repair. We report a rare case of AUFs showing connections with both the right external and internal iliac arteries.

Successful endovascular coiling of a ruptured internal iliac artery aneurysm: a case report

Ruptured internal iliac artery aneurysms (IIAA) are extremely rare, and the repair can be challenging. This case reports described an 83-year-old patient who presented at our Emergency Department with acute abdominal pain based on a ruptured IIAA. He refused open repair and only wanted to be treated as minimally invasive as possible. Therefore endovascular embolization of the IIAA was performed...

A Rare Variation in Branching Pattern of the Internal Iliac Artery: A Case Report

Internal iliac artery (IIA) shows frequent variations in its branching pattern. We saw variations in the branching pattern of right IIA in a male cadaver. The IIA divided into anterior and posterior divisions. The branches of the anterior division included umbilical artery, inferior vesical artery, obturator artery. The other branches arose from posterior trunk such as iliolumbar, lateral s...

Transradial Neurointerventional Approach to Basilar Tip Aneurysm: Case Report and Technical Note

Cerebral angiography through transfemoral approach is preferred in most of the situation though in cardiovascular surgery transradial angiography is accounted as the superior standard. The present study aimed at presenting our early experience of transradial approach to cerebral angiography and intervention of a patient with basilar tip aneurysm that had inappropriate vasculature to perform rou...

Novel Treatment of an Enlarging Internal Iliac Artery Aneurysm in Association with a Type 2 Endoleak via Percutaneous Embolisation of the Superior Gluteal Artery through a Posterior Approach

Internal iliac artery (IIA) aneurysms, while rare, carry a significant risk of mortality if they rupture. Endovascular intervention is now the preferred method of treatment for IIAs; however, due to technical considerations, this is not always feasible. We report a case of a patient who developed an enlarging IIA aneurysm in association with a type 2 endoleak supplied by multiple feeding arteri...

Fibromuscular dysplasia of the lower extremities.

Fibromuscular dysplasia (FMD) is a nonatherosclerotic, non-inflammatory vascular disease that mainly affects the renal and internal carotid arteries. Involvement of other sites, including arteries of the extremities, is uncommon, and only a few histologically confirmed cases have been reported. FMD of the arteries of the extremities can result in ischemia requiring surgical or endovascular reco...
